We are pleased to offer for sale this Vermont Sesquicentennial Silver Commemorative Half Dollar (1927) in XF-40 or Better Condition.   This Vermont Sesquicentennial Commemorative Silver Half Dollar was designed by Charles Keck. The Vermont Half Dollar was struck to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Bennington and the independence of Vermont.  The obverse of the coin features the head of Ira Allen, the founder of Vermont.  The reverse shows a catamount on a pedestal.  There were only 28,142 of this Vermont Sesquicentennial Silver Half Dollar minted at the Philadelphia Mint in 1927, making it of great worth and value to the commemorative coin collector!  TheVermont Sesquicentennial Silver Coin is comprised of .900 silver and .100 copper (90% Silver), has a diameter of 30.6mm, and weighs 12.5 grams.
