We are pleased to offer for sale this 1995 Doubled Die Obverse Lincoln Memorial Cent graded and encapsulated as MS-68 RD (Red) by NGC.   This rare mint error was caused by improperly prepared dies that show a fully doubled outline of the date and legend on the obverse of the penny.   This Lincoln Memorial Cent is a Copper-Plated Zinc variety (1982-Date) made of a core of .992 zinc and .008 copper with a plating of pure copper. 6,411,440,000 of the 1995 Lincoln Cent were minted at the Philadelphia Mint however it is unknown how many were double dies..  Lincoln Memorial Cents weigh 2.5 grams and have a diameter of 19mm.
