We are pleased to offer for sale this 1972 Doubled Die Obverse DDO Lincoln Memorial Cent coin graded and encapsulated as MS-64 RD (Red) by PCGS.  This 1972 Lincoln Memorial Cent is a rare mint error was caused by improperly prepared dies that show a fully doubled outline of the date and legend on the obverse of the penny. There were 2,933,255,000 of the 1972 Memorial Cents minted at the Philadelphia (P) Mint, though it is unknown how many were double dies.

This Lincoln Memorial Cent is a Copper Alloy variety (1959-1982) made of .950 copper and .050 zinc. The Lincoln Memorial Cents weigh 3.11 grams and have a diameter of 19mm.
