• History:  Louis Armstrong (August 4, 1901 - July 6, 1971) was an American jazz musician.   Armstrong is most famous for his trumpet playing and singing. Armstrong's career spanned from 1914 through 1971.  The stamp features a multicolored image of Armstrong playing his trumpet superimposed over a piano keyboard with his name along the bottom.
