It is an eight day celebration which observes an event that happened around 164 B.C. where a small group of Jews led by Judah Maccabee took back their temple that had been captured by the King of Syria. The stamp depicts the image of a "dreidle" which is a popular game in Jewish culture which is based on chance and involves placing bets.
