• History: These stamps celebrate the Olympics held in Barcelona, Spain, in the summer of 1992. These Games were the last to be staged in the same year as the Winter Games. Beginning in 1994, Winter and Summer Games were placed in alternating even-numbered years. Illustrated on these stamps include the pole vault, the discus throw, women's sprints , the javelin throw, and women's hurdles.
