We are pleased to offer for sale these 2002 P&D Louisiana BU State Quarters. You will receive two 2002 Louisiana State Quarters in Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) condition, one each from the the Denver and Philadelphia Mints.  The theme of the Louisiana State Quarter is "Louisiana Purchase." Louisiana was admitted into the Union on April 30th of 1812. The reverse side of the Louisiana State Quarter features an image of the pelican - Louisiana's state bird - a trumpet with musical notes, and the outline of the Louisiana Purchase territory. The reverse side of the Louisiana State Quarter was designed by John Mercanti.  All State Quarters are comprised of .750 copper and .250 nickel with a weight of 5.67 grams and a diameter of 24.3mm. These Louisiana BU State Quarters come from original U.S. Mint Sets or original bank wrapped rolls.
