The theme of the Kentucky State Quarter is "My Old Kentucky Home." Kentucky was admitted into the Union on June 1st of 1792. The reverse side of the Kentucky State Quarter features the stately mansion, Federal Hill and a thoroughbred racehorse positioned behind a fence in the foreground. The reverse side of the Kentucky State Quarter was designed by T. James Ferrell. All State Quarters are comprised of .750 copper and .250 nickel with a weight of 5.67 grams and a diameter of 24.3mm.
