This Lincoln Wheat Penny is a Variety 1 Bronze (1909-1958).  There were only 866,000 of these 1931 Lincoln Wheat Cents minted at the San Francisco (S) Mint, making it one of the KEY DATE coins of the series!

The Lincoln Wheat Cent series ran from 1909 through 1958.  This type of Lincoln Wheat Penny weighs 3.11 grams and is comprised of .950 copper and .050 tin and zinc.
