We are pleased to offer for sale this 1896-S Key Date Barber Liberty Head Silver Quarter graded and encapsulated as G-6 by PCGS. There were only 188,039 of these 1896 Barber Silver Quarters minted at the San Francisco (S) Mint, making it one of the KEY DATE coins of the series!  

The Barber or Liberty Head Silver Quarter series ran from 1892 through 1916. Barber Silver Quarters weigh 6.25 grams and are comprised of .900 silver and .100 copper. This 90% Silver Barber Quarter has a diameter of 24.3mm with a reeded edge. This Barber Silver Quarter is of great worth and value to the collector who needs to fill a hole in their Barber Quarter set. Some of our slabbed quarters do have toning.
