Struck by The New Zealand Mint from 1 troy ounce  of 99.9% pure silver in proof quality, each coin is $2 Niue legal tender.

The New Zealand Mint released only 8,000 of these sets.

 DESIGN

The reverse of each coin portrays a color image of one of the Real Pirates of the Caribbean characters. The four characters included are: Henry Avery, Bartholomew Roberts, Calico Jack, and Blackbeard.

The obverse of each coin depicts Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, denomination, country, and year

PRESENTATION

The coins are housed in a replica treasure chest with a colorful outer box. Each set is accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
