We are pleased to offer for sale this 1937-D Buffalo Nickel Rare 3 Legged coin graded and encapsulated as VG-10 3 Legs by PCGS.  This Buffalo, Indian Head, or Bison Nickel is a Variety 2 FIVE CENTS in Recess Nickel (1913-1938) it also is the rare 3-Legged Buffalo Reverse Variety.  There were 17,826,000 of these 1937 Buffalo Nickels minted at the Denver (D) Mint, but it is unknown how many were of the 3 legs variety.

The Buffalo Nickel series ran from 1913 through 1938. These Buffalo Nickels are comprised of .750 copper and .250 nickel. The Buffalo Nickels have a weight of 5 grams, and a diameter of 21.2mm with a plain edge. This Buffalo Nickel is of great value and worth to the collector looking to fill a hole in their Buffalo Nickel set.  Some of our slabbed nickels do have toning.
