1936-S Arkansas Centennial Silver Commemorative Half Dollar in NGC MS 64

We are pleased to offer for sale this 1936-S Arkansas Centennial Silver Commemorative Half Dollar graded and encapsulated as MS-64 by NGC. There were only 9,662 of this Arkansas Centennial Half Dollar minted at the San Francisco (S) Mint.  This 1936-S Arkansas Centennial Half Dollar was designed by Edward Everett Burr and was struck in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the admission of Arkansas into the Union.  The obverse of the Arkansas Centennial Half Dollar features an eagle perched upon a rising sun holding a banner inscribed IN GOD WE TRUST at left and E PLURIBUS UNUM at right.  The reverse of the 1936-S Arkansas Centennial Half Dollar shows  heads of an Indian Chief of 1836 and an American Girl of 1936. 

This classic commemorative half dollar is comprised of .900 silver and .100 copper (90% Silver), has a diameter of 30.6mm, and weighs 12.5 grams.  Some of our slabbed commemorative coins may have toning.
