We are pleased to offer for sale this 1976-S Eisenhower BICENTENNIAL Clad PROOF Dollar TYPE 2 coin graded and encapsulated as PR-69 DCAM (Deep Cameo) by PCGS.  This is a Variety 2, the word STATES on the reverse has a sharp design with delicate lettering.   There were only 4,149,730 of this 1976 Eisenhower Clad Proof Dollar Type 2  minted at the San Francisco (S) Mint.  In honor of United States Bicentennial, a new reverse was designed for the 1976 dollar, an image of the Liberty Bell superimposed on the moon, the work of Dennis Williams.

The Eisenhower Dollar series ran from 1971 through 1978.  Clad Eisenhower Dollars weigh 22.68 grams and are comprised of an outer layer of .750 copper and .250 nickel bonded to an inner core of pure copper.  These Eisenhower Dollars have a diameter of 38.1mm with a reeded edge. This Eisenhower Dollar is of great worth and value to the collector who needs to fill a hole in their Eisenhower Dollar set.  Some of our slabbed dollars do have toning.
