We are pleased to offer for sale this 1992-P Christopher Columbus Quincentenary Commemorative Proof Silver Dollar coin graded and encapsulated as PF-69 Ultra Cameo by NGC. There were 385,241 of this Columbus Proof Silver Dollar minted at the Philadelphia (P) Mint. This 1992-P Columbus Proof Silver Dollar was struck to commemorate the 500th anniversary of Columbus's first trip to America.  he obverse of the 1992-P Columbus Quincentenary Proof Silver Dollar features a full length figure of Columbus beside a globe with his three ships above, and was designed by John Mercanti.  The obverse of the Columbus Quincentenary Silver Dollar features a split image of Columbus's ship the Santa Maria and the U.S. Space shuttle Discovery, designed by Thomas D. Rogers Sr.  

This modern commemorative silver dollar is comprised of .900 (90%) silver and .100 (10%) copper with a diameter of 38.1mm and a weight of 26.73 grams with a reeded edge.
