We are pleased to offer for sale this 2004-P Thomas Alva Edison Commemorative Proof Silver Dollar coin graded and encapsulated as PF-69 Ultra Cameo by NGC. There were 211,055 of the 2004-P Thomas Alva Edison Silver Commemorative Dollar Proof Coins minted at the Philadelphia (P) Mint.   This 2004-P Thomas Alva Edison Silver Dollar Commemorative Proof was struck to commemorate the 125th anniversary of Thomas Edison's invention of the light bulb.  The obverse of the 2004-P Thomas Alva Edison Commemorative Proof Silver Dollar was designed by Donna Weaver and features an image of Thomas Alva Edison holding an experimental light bulb in his laboratory. The reverse side of the 2004-P Thomas Alva Edison Commemorative Proof Silver Dollar was designed by John Mercanti and features an image of light rays radiating from a 1879 light bulb.

This modern commemorative silver dollar is comprised of .900 (90%) silver and .100 (10%) copper with a diameter of 38.1mm and a weight of 26.73 grams with a reeded edge.
