We are pleased to offer for sale this 1991 American Silver Eagle Dollar 9-11-01 WTC Ground Zero Recovery graded and encapsulated as MS-69 by PCGS.  There were a total of 7,191,066 Silver Eagles minted in 1991.  A relatively small, and currently unknown amount, were in underground vaults during the September 11th attack on the World Trade Center.  PCGS graded and released these World Trade Center Recovery Silver Eagles in a limited edition U.S. flag holder, a reminder of the events of that day.

The American Silver Eagle Dollar series has run from 1986 to date. American Silver Eagle Bullion Coins weigh 31.101 grams and are comprised of .9993 silver and .0007 copper.  These 1oz pure silver American Eagle Dollars have a diameter of 40.6mm.  The obverse is the Adolph A. Weinman walking liberty design originally used on the half dollar from 1917 through 1947.  The reverse features a John Mercanti designed heraldic eagle.
