1883 Hawaiian Quarter Dollar (Hapaha) Silver

We are pleased to offer for sale this 1883 Hawaiian Quarter Dollar (Hapaha) coin. Five official coins were issued for the Kingdom of Hawaii between 1847 and 1883, there was also one unofficial five-cent piece issued in 1881. Charles Barber designed the coin.  499,974 of these 1883 Hawaiian Silver Quarter Dollars were minted at the San Fransisco Mint.  The obverse features a portrait of King Kalakaua I.  These 90% Silver Hawaiian Quarter Dollars have a diameter of 24.3mm.  These coins are cleaned and may have jewelry damage including solder residue, rim damage, and scratching.
