We are pleased to offer for sale this Connecticut Tercentenary Silver Commemorative Half Dollar (1935) in XF-40 or Better Condition.  This Connecticut Tercentenary Silver Half Dollar was designed by Henry Kreis. The coin was struck to commemorate the 300th Anniversary of the founding of Connecticut. The obverse of the Connecticut Tercentenary Silver Half Dollar features a bald eagle.  The reverse of the Connecticut Tercentenary Silver Half Dollar shows the famous Charter Oak which according to legend, had  Connecticut's Constitutional Charter hidden in it during the reign of James II who wished to revoke it.  There were only 25,018 of this Connecticut Tercentenary Silver Half Dollar minted at the Philadelphia Mint in 1935, making it of great worth and value to the commemorative coin collector!  The Connecticut Tercentenary Silver Coin is comprised of .900 silver and .100 copper (90% Silver), has a diameter of 30.6mm, and weighs 12.5 grams.
