We are pleased to offer for sale this Albany New York Charter 250th Anniversary Silver Commemorative Half Dollar (1936) in XF-40 or Better Condition. This Albany New York Charter Half Dollar celebrates the 250th anniversary of the granting of a charter to the city.  There were only 17,671 of this Albany New York Charter Silver Commemorative Half Dollar minted at the Philadelphia Mint in 1936, making of great worth and value to the commemorative coin collector.  This Albany New York Charter Silver Commemorative Coin was designed by Gertrude K. Lathrop from Albany. The obverse of the Albany Charter Commemorative Half Dollar features a beaver gnawing on a maple branch.  The reverse of the Albany New York Charter Silver Commemorative Half Dollar features governor Thomas Dongan, Peter Schuyler, and Robert Livingston. The Albany New York Charter Silver Coin is comprised of .900 silver and .100 copper (90% Silver), has a diameter of 30.6mm, and weighs 12.5 grams.
