We are pleased to offer for sale this Sesquicentennial of American Independence Silver Commemorative Half Dollar (1926) in XF-40 or Better Condition.  This Sesquicentennial Half Dollar was designed by John Fredrick Lewis and was struck in commemoration of the 150th anniversary of the signing of the Deceleration of Independence.  The obverse of the Sesquicentennial Commemorative Half Dollar features depictions of  Presidents Calvin Coolidge and George Washington.  The reverse of the Sesquicentennial Silver Commemorative Half Dollar bears an accurate model of the Liberty Bell.  There were only 141,120 of this Sesquicentennial Commemorative Half Dollar minted at the Philadelphia Mint in 1926, making it of great worth and value to the commemorative coin collector.  The Sesquicentennial of American Independence Silver Commemorative Coin is comprised of .900 silver and .100 copper (90% Silver), has a diameter of 30.6mm, and weighs 12.5 grams.
