We are pleased to offer for sale this 1936 Providence Rhode Island Tercentenary Silver Commemorative Half Dollar graded and encapsulated as MS-64 by PCGS.  This 1936 Providence Rhode Island Tercentenary Silver Commemorative Half Dollar was struck to commemorate the 300th anniversary of Roger William's founding of Providence .  There were only 20,013 of the 1936 Providence Tercentenary Silver Half Dollars minted at the Philadelphia Mint.  This Rhode Island Commemorative Coin was designed by Arthur Graham Carey and John Howard Benson.  The Rhode Island Silver Half Dollar features Roger Williams in a canoe being greeted by an Indian on the obverse and the anchor of Hope with a shield and mantling on the reverse. 

This classic commemorative half dollar is comprised of .900 silver and .100 copper (90% Silver), has a diameter of 30.6mm, and weighs 12.5 grams.  Some of our slabbed commemorative coins may have toning.
