We are pleased to offer for sale this 1879-S Reverse of 1878 Morgan Silver Dollar coin graded and encapsulated as MS-62 by NGC.  This rare 1879-S Reverse of 78 Morgan Silver Dollar is one of the Top 100 VAMs.  There were only 9,110,000 of this 1879 Morgan Silver Dollar minted at the San Francisco (S)  Mint, but it is unknown how many are this rare Reverse of 1878 variety.

The Morgan Dollar series ran from 1878 through 1921. Morgan Silver Dollars weigh 26.73 grams and are comprised of .900 silver and .100 copper (.773 troy ounce of silver). These 90% Silver  Morgan Dollars have a diameter of 38.1mm. This Morgan Silver Dollar is of great worth and value to the collector who needs to fill a hole in their Morgan Silver Dollar set.  Some of our slabbed dollars do have toning.
