We are pleased to offer for sale this 1909-S/S Lincoln Wheat Cent KEY DATE coin graded and encapsulated as AU-58 BN (Brown) by NGC.  These rare S over S Lincoln Wheat Cents were only produced in 1909.  FS-1501 refers to the Repunched Mintmark variety found in Cherrypicker's Guide to Rare Die Varieties of United States Coins There were 1,825,000 of these 1909 Lincoln Wheat Cents minted at the San Francisco (S) Mint, making this a key date of the series.  It is unknown how many were of this very rare S over S variety.

The Lincoln Wheat Cent series ran from 1909 through 1958.  This type of Lincoln Wheat Penny weighs 3.11 grams and is comprised of .950 copper and .050 tin and zinc.
