This 1994-S U.S. Capitol Bicentennial Proof Silver Dollar was struck to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the United States Capitol. The obverse of the 1994-S U.S. Capitol Bicentennial Commemorative Proof Silver Dollar was designed by William Cousins and features an architectural rendering of the U.S. Capitol Dome. The reverse side of the 1994-S U.S. Capitol Bicentennial Commemorative Proof Silver Dollar was designed by John Mercanti and features the center of the stained glass window from the Senate and House grand staircases.
This modern commemorative silver dollar is comprised of .900 (90%) silver and .100 (10%) copper with a diameter of 38.1mm and a weight of 26.73 grams with a reeded edge.
