The obverse of the 1991-D USO Commemorative Silver Dollar was designed by Robert Lamb and features the USO Pennant and the words "50th Anniversary" in script. The reverse side of the 1991-D USO Commemorative Proof Silver Dollar was designed by John Mercanti and features an eagle perched atop a globe symbolizing USO services worldwide and the anniversary theme: "Fifty Years Service to Service People."
