We are pleased to offer for sale this 2004-P Lewis and Clark Bicentennial Commemorative Proof Silver Dollar coin graded and encapsulated as PF-69 Ultra Cameo (UCAM) by NGC.  There were 351,989 of the Lewis and Clark Proof Dollars minted at the Philadelphia Mint.  This 2004-P Lewis and Clark Bicentennial Silver Proof Commemorative Dollar was struck to commemorate the bicentennial of Lewis and Clark's exploration of the new territory acquired in the Louisiana Purchase.  The obverse was designed by Donna Weaver and features Lewis and Clark standing on a river bank planning another day of exploration. The reverse was also designed by Donna Weaver and features an image of 2 feathers, 17 stars representing each state in the Union at the time.  The reverse also depicts a rendition of the peace medal presented to Native American Nations on behalf of President Thomas Jefferson.

This modern commemorative silver dollar is comprised of .900 (90%) silver and .100 (10%) copper with a diameter of 38.1mm and a weight of 26.73 grams with a reeded edge. Some of our silver dollars may have toning.
