We are pleased to offer for sale this 1986-S Statue of Liberty Commemorative Silver Dollar graded and encapsulated as PR-69 DCAM by PCGS. There were 6,414,638 of this Proof Statue of Liberty Silver Dollars minted at the San Francisco (S) Mint.  This 1986-S Statue of Liberty Commemorative Coin was produced by the United States Mint and is specially designed and created to commemorate the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island as the "Gateway to America".  The obverse of the Statue of Liberty Commemorative Dollar was designed by John Mercanti and features an image of the Statue of Liberty as well as the Ellis Island Immigration Center in the background.  The reverse of the Statue of Liberty Silver Coin features the a depiction of Liberty's torch with the words "GIVE ME YOUR TIRED, YOUR POOR, YOUR HUDDLED MASSES YEARNING TO BREATHE FREE".

This modern commemorative silver dollar is comprised of .900 (90%) silver and .100 (10%) copper with a diameter of 38.1mm and a weight of 26.73 grams with a reeded edge.
