We are pleased to offer for sale this 1924 Huguenot Walloon Tercentenary Commemorative Silver Coin graded and encapsulated as MS-65 by NGC.  There were only 142,080 of this Huguenot Walloon Tercentenary Commemorative Half Dollar minted at the Philadelphia Mint.  This 1924 Huguenot Walloon Tercentenary Silver Commemorative Half Dollar was struck to commemorate the 300th anniversary of the settling of the Huguenots and Walloons in the New World.  New Netherland, now New York was founded by a group of Dutch colonists in 1624.  This Huguenot Walloon Tercentenary Silver Coin was designed by George T. Morgan.  The Huguenot Silver Half Dollar features Admiral Coligny and William the Silent on the obverse and the vessel Nieuw Nederland on the reverse.
