The 1984 Los Angeles Olympiad Olympic Coliseum Commemorative Silver Dollar was designed by Robert Graham, an American sculptor who created the sculpture placed at the entrance to the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. The obverse of the 1984 LA Olympic Dollar depicts Graham's sculpture with the coliseum in the background. The reverse features an American Eagle grasping an olive branch, perched on a rock inscribed with 'E PLURIBUS UNUM'.
