We are pleased to offer for sale this 1998-S Black Revolutionary War Patriots PROOF Commemorative Silver Dollar graded and encapsulated as PR-69 Deep Cameo (DCAM) by PCGS. There were only 75,070 of this Black Revolutionary War Patriots Silver Dollar minted at the San Francisco (S) Mint.  This 1998-S Black Revolutionary War Patriots Commemorative Proof Silver Dollar was struck to honor the black Revolutionary War patriots and the 275th anniversary of the birth of the first black Revolutionary War patriot, Crispus Attucks, who was also the first patriot to die fighting for the freedom of the United States.  The obverse of the Black Revolutionary War Patriots Commemorative Dollar Silver Proof was designed by John Mercanti and features a portrait of Crispus Attucks. The reverse side of the Black Revolutionary War Patriots Commemorative Dollar Silver Proof was designed by Ed Dwight and displays a detail from the new Black Patriots Memorial, to be built on the National Mall.

This modern commemorative silver dollar is comprised of .900 (90%) silver and .100 (10%) copper with a diameter of 38.1mm and a weight of 26.73 grams with a reeded edge.
