There were only 3,950,762 of these 1964 Silver Proof Kennedy coins minted at the Philadelphia Mint.  The Kennedy Half Dollar series has ran from 1964 through 1963.  1964 was the only year that all coins were minted in 90% Silver. Kennedy Silver Proof Half Dollars weigh 12.50 grams and are comprised of .900 silver and .100 copper (.3617 troy ounce of silver). These 90% Silver  Kennedy Half Dollars have a diameter of 30.6mm.
