This Indian Head Cent is a Variety 3 Bronze coin (1864-1909) made of .950 copper and .050 tin and zinc. This Indian Head Cent has an Oak Wreath with Shield reverse.  Only 309,000 of the 1909-S Indian Head Cents were minted at the San Francisco (S) Mint, making it one of the KEY DATE coins of the series.  Indian Head Cents weigh 3.11 grams and have a diameter of 19mm.
