We are pleased to offer for sale this 1936-D Providence Rhode Island Tercentenary Commemorative Silver Coin graded and encapsulated as MS-65 by PCGS.  There were only 15,010 of this Providence Rhode Island Tercentenary Commemorative Half Dollar minted at the Denver (D) Mint.  This 1936-D Providence Rhode Island Tercentenary Silver Commemorative Half Dollar was struck to commemorate the 300th anniversary of Roger William's founding of Providence.  This Providence Rhode Island Tercentenary Silver Commemorative Coin was designed by Arthur Graham Carey and John Howard Benson.  The Rhode Island Commemorative Silver Half Dollar features Roger Williams in a canoe being greeted by an Indian on the obverse and the anchor of Hope with a shield and mantling on the reverse.
