We are pleased to offer for sale this 1936 Albany New York Charter 250th Anniversary Commemorative Silver Coin graded and encapsulated as MS-65 by PCGS.  There were only 17,671 of this Albany New York Charter Commemorative Half Dollar minted at the Philadelphia Mint. This 1936 Albany New York Charter Half Dollar was designed by Gertrude K. Lathrop from Albany and celebrates the 250th anniversary of the granting of a charter to the city.  The obverse of the Albany Charter Commemorative Half Dollar features a beaver gnawing on a maple branch.  The reverse of the 1936 Albany New York Charter Silver Commemorative Half Dollar features governor Thomas Dongan, Peter Schuyler, and Robert Livingston.
