We are pleased to offer for sale this 1936 Bridgeport Connecticut Commemorative Half Dollar graded and encapsulated as MS-66 by NGC.  There were only 25,015 of this Bridgeport Connecticut Silver Half Dollar minted at the Philadelphia Mint in 1936. This Bridgeport Centennial Half Dollar was designed by Henry Kreis and was struck to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the incorporation of the city of Bridgeport, Connecticut.  The obverse of the Bridgeport Connecticut Centennial Half Dollar features the head of P.T Barnum, Bridgeport's best known citizen.  The reverse of the1936 Bridgeport Connecticut Centennial Silver Commemorative Half Dollar is a rendering of an American Eagle in art deco.

This classic commemorative half dollar is comprised of .900 silver and .100 copper (90% Silver), has a diameter of 30.6mm, and weighs 12.5 grams.  Some of our slabbed commemorative coins may have toning.
