We are pleased to offer for sale this York County, Maine Tercentenary Silver Commemorative Half Dollar (1936) in XF-40 or Better Condition.   This York County, Maine Half Dollar was designed by Walter H. Rich of Porland, Maine and was struck to commemorate the 300th anniversary of the founding of York County, Maine.  There were only 25,015 of this York County Silver Half Dollar minted at the Philadelphia Mint in 1936.  The obverse of the York County, Maine Half Dollar features a stockade, and the reverse has an adaption of the York County seal. The York County, Maine Silver Coin is comprised of .900 silver and .100 copper (90% Silver), has a diameter of 30.6mm, and weighs 12.5 grams.
