We are pleased to offer for sale this 1927 Vermont Sesquicentennial Commemorative Silver Half Dollar coin graded and encapsulated as MS-63 by PCGS.  There were only 28,142 of these coins minted at the Philadelphia Mint.  This 1927 Vermont Sesquicentennial Commemorative Silver Half Dollar was designed by Charles Keck. The Vermont Half Dollar was struck to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Bennington and the independence of Vermont.  The obverse of the coin features the head of Ira Allen, the founder of Vermont.  The reverse shows a catamount on a pedestal. 

This classic commemorative half dollar is comprised of .900 silver and .100 copper (90% Silver), has a diameter of 30.6mm, and weighs 12.5 grams.  Some of our slabbed commemorative coins may have toning.
