We are pleased to offer for sale this 1863 Indian Head Cent coin graded and encapsulated as MS-63 by NGC.  This Indian Head Penny is a Variety 2 Copper-Nickel, Oak Wreath with Shield coin (1860-1864).  There were 49,840,000 of these 1863 Indian Head Cents minted at the Philadelphia Mint.

The Indian Head Cent series ran from 1859 through 1909. Variety 2 Copper-Nickel Indian Head Cents are composed of .880 copper and .120 nickel, with a mass of 4.67 grams, and a diameter of 19mm with a plain edge.
