We are pleased to offer for sale this 1936-S San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge Opening Commemorative Silver Coin graded and encapsulated as MS-65 by NGC.  There were only 20,013 of this Providence Rhode Island Tercentenary Commemorative Half Dollar minted at the San Francisco (S) Mint.  This 1936-S Bay Bridge Silver Half Dollar was struck as a souvenir coin to celebrate the opening of the Bay Bridge.  This coin was designed by Jacques Schnier a San Francisco artist..  The obverse of the Bay Bridge Silver Half Dollar features a California grizzly bear representing the animals in local zoos.  The reverse of the Bay Bridge Silver Half Dollar features the famous landmark bridge.
