We are pleased to offer for sale this Maryland Tercentenary Silver Commemorative Half Dollar (1934) in XF-40 or Better Condition.  This Maryland Tercentenary Half Dollar was designed by Hans Schuler and celebrates the 300th anniversary of the founding of the Maryland Colony by Cecil Calvert or "Lord Baltimore".  The obverse of the Maryland Commemorative Half Dollar shows the facing head of Lord Baltimore.  The reverse of the Maryland Tercentenary Half Dollar features the arms of Maryland reminiscent of the Maryland colonial pieces.  There were only 25,015 of this Maryland Half Dollar minted at the Philadelphia Mint in 1934, making it of great worth and value to the commemorative coin collector.  The Maryland Tercentenary Commemorative Coin is comprised of .900 silver and .100 copper (90% Silver), has a diameter of 30.6mm, and weighs 12.5 grams.
