We are pleased to offer for sale this "Isabella Quarter" World's Columbian Exposition Commemorative Silver Coin (1893) in XF-40 or Better Condition.  This Isabella Quarter was designed by Charles E. Barber and was struck as a souvenier coin for the World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago during 1893.  The obverse of the Isabella Commemorative Quarter features the crowned bust of Queen Isabella I of Spain.  The reverse of the Isabella Commemorative Silver Quarter shows a kneeling female with distaff and spindle symbolizing women's industry .  There were only 24,214 of this Isabella Commemorative Quarter minted at the Philadelphia Mint in 1893, making it of great worth and value to the commemorative coin collector.  The Isabella Commemorative Silver Quarter is comprised of .900 silver and .100 copper (90% Silver), has a diameter of 24.3mm, and weighs 6.25 grams.
