We are pleased to offer for sale this Panama-Pacific Exposition Silver Commemorative Half Dollar (1915) in XF-40 or Better Condition.  This Panama-Pacific Exposition Half Dollar was designed by Charles E. Barber (obv.) and George T. Morgan (rev.).  The coin was struck to commemorate the Panama-Pacific Exposition held in San Francisco in 1915 celebrating the opening of the Panama Canal.  The obverse of the Panama-Pacific Exposition Commemorative Half Dollar is a representation of Columbia with the golden gate in the background.  The reverse of the Panama-Pacific Exposition Silver Commemorative Half Dollar shows a bald eagle perched on a crest with the words "IN GOD WE TRUST" above.  This coin was the first commemorative coin to carry this motto.  There were only 27,134 of this Panama-Pacific Exposition Silver Half Dollar minted at the San Francisco Mint in 1915, making it of great worth and value to the commemorative coin collector.  The Panama-Pacific Exposition Commemorative Coin is comprised of .900 silver and .100 copper (90% Silver), has a diameter of 30.6mm, and weighs 12.5 grams.
