We are pleased to offer for sale this Columbia South Carolina Sesquicentennial Silver Commemorative Half Dollar (1936) in XF-40 or Better Condition. This Columbia South Carolina Sesquicentennial Half Dollar celebrates the 150th anniversary of the founding of Columbia in 1786.  There were only 25,023 of the Columbia South Carolina Sesquicentennial Silver Commemorative Half Dollars minted at the Philadelphia, Denver, and San Francisco Mints in 1936, making of great worth and value to the commemorative coin collector.  This Columbia South Carolina Silver Commemorative Coin was designed by A. Wolfe Davidson. The obverse of the Columbia Commemorative Half Dollar features the figure of Justice with sword and scales with the 1786 capitol on the left and the 1936 capitol on the right  The reverse of the Columbia South Carolina Sesquicentennial Silver Commemorative Half Dollar features a palmetto tree, the state emblem. The Columbia South Carolina Silver Coin is comprised of .900 silver and .100 copper (90% Silver), has a diameter of 30.6mm, and weighs 12.5 grams.
