We are pleased to offer for sale this Cleveland Centennial Great Lakes Exposition Silver Commemorative Half Dollar (1936) in XF-40 or Better Condition.  This Cleveland Commemorative Half Dollar was designed by Brenda Putnam. The Cleveland Half Dollar was struck to commemorate the100th anniversary celebration of Cleveland held during the Great Lakes Exposition.  The obverse of the coin features a bust of Moses Cleveland.  The reverse features a map of the great lakes region with a compass pointing to Cleveland.  There were only 50,030 of this Cleveland Commemorative Half Dollar minted at the Philadelphia Mint in 1936, making it of great worth and value to the commemorative coin collector.  The Cleveland Commemorative Coin is comprised of .900 silver and .100 copper (90% Silver), has a diameter of 30.6mm, and weighs 12.5 grams.
