We are pleased to offer for sale this 1936 York County Maine Tercentenary Commemorative Silver Coin graded and encapsulated as MS-65 by PCGS.  There were only 25,015 of this York County Maine Commemorative Half Dollar minted at the Philadelphia Mint. This 1936 York County Maine Tercentenary Silver Commemorative Half Dollar was designed by Walter H. Rich of Portland and was struck to commemorate the 300th anniversary of the founding of York County, Maine in 1636.  Brown's Garrison on the Saco River was the site of the town that was settled.  The obverse of the York County Maine Tercentenary Half Dollar features a stockade.  The reverse of the1936 York County Maine Tercentenary Silver Commemorative Half Dollar features an adaptation of the York County seal.
